"I've been working on my own unique take on halftone lined stencil pieces for a while before showing anything until now, and my conclusion to much experimentation is that it's all in the source material; bold contrasts in light and shadow work best of course, but there's so much to be said for the subject matter's facial expression in how the effect comes together. Laughter lines in a grimaced grin and manic pain behind the eyes, this 2007 Britney paparazzi pic - shot through the windscreen as the press swarmed her car one manic evening- is both an artefact of unjustifiable media circus manipulation, and the expression of resilience in spite of it."
